The Garden Route Technical Consortium was established in 2009 by a group of dedicated local technology professionals whom share a vision of collaboration towards the effective marketing, procurement and delivery of technology projects.
Being based in the Garden Route has obvious and definite advantages, but on the downside it is often difficult for small suppliers to compete with large city based companies for technology contracts. The issue is not price, but rather credibility and control. Companies feel uncomfortable outsourcing their technology projects to relatively unknown and small service providers in remote locations. As a consortium this group is in a position to act as a large body and hence provide potential customers with the necessary reassurance regarding timely and accurate project delivery.
The group ensures that all tasks undertaken meet stringent quality standards, and thus minimizes the risk often posed by small suppliers. Continuity is also ensured as the group is able to procure resources as dictated by demand.
