The Garden Route IT Consortium was formed by a core group of IT professionals with a common vision. These founding members are the 'custodians' of the consortium, but they do not control or dictate to other members.

All decisions relating to projects and resource allocations is taken on an open basis, giving all members the opportunity to get involved in relevant projects.
